ok i got my first flatbase today here are some pics of it

hope you dont mind me using your pics of it steely

the base engine frame and firebox have very little paint espcially the firebox and engine frame so i have decided to repaint them

i need to know where i can get red paint for the base from ?

ok i have took it to bits now going to give it a mega polish up

i have the mint green paint and black firebox paint ready so i may do it this weekend

just need the red help please

boiler and allm parts polished

next job is to sand the firebox and base down to the bare metal before painting

I go to Halfords usually, although Wilkinsons do a close match for 2.99

Rosso red is a better match, should be ok though!
