Can someone give me a load of rare and collectable engines too.

Talk about a good score SteamyJim, well done.

The yellow train that has a plastic wooden looking barrel is a Hornby Rocket you see them quiet often on ebay, runs on butane.

It doesn't look like the hornby one bit big?

The yellow trains in the front of the picture you put up from Antiques roadshow is a Hornby Rocket.
Here is another rocket on ebay.

Maybe we are talking about different engines.

Yeah that looks to be it. Steamyjim has 2

I'll admit, when I saw it on TV, the boiler looked to have more of a genuine wood look around the boiler

I don't understand how you took them to the roadshow and they weren't given to you at that point?

I saw the epsiode after those pics. Wish I had of seen that episode though

MM, from what they said on the after epsiode, a viewer (or viewers) donated engines to steamyjim after seeing him on the show. Basically a good gesture, which is great to see.

Same thing happened to my old man.
His Cooper S featured in an Australian Mini magazine, along with all his model mini collection. Part of his display of models featured his Sydney harbour bridge that he made off his own plans out of meccano.

In the article it said he collected meccano. Readers contacted the magazine for details, and sent him meccano, for free. Just stuff they had lying around.

Wow
Awesome collection there mate!!

Love the scratch built stuart turner roller

And your Mamods, and the Cheddar ones, and the unknown.

Aww mate, the whole lot is fantastic. Probably one of the best variety collections I've ever seen. Well done.
I'm thinking the Heisler Grasshopper may have been the wooden encased boiler engine I saw on TV that made me think WOW, what a collection with some rare engines.

That DR Mercer traction engine is great too!!
