Found this video on You Tube.  Very poor quality, but these M, H & B models all seem to have powerful steam plants.

A link to some better pictures:

Richard--that raked bow on the Seekadett is just beyond words. It cuts the water so cleanly. That is a graceful boat...I really like the sepia toned video-- music was OK too

Mark my words....AFTER you find yours...That is a boat that I also want to own one day....

So please keep after you find yours, keep an eye peeled for a second Seekadett and let me know if I don't spot it. I will start saving now...

My Alexandra as a good starter launch, the Turbinia as my less fancy hull and a Seekadett would really round out the stable....

I like the bow design too. Very nice boat and it seems to be a very good steamer. Lots of fun.

That boat on the Youtube video is a Seekadett, but not a Marten Howes and Bayliss one.

not much to say, it's smaller, and differs considerably from the MH&B design, but it's a lovely model. I wonder if he made it from plans, it certainly has a good steam plant in it!

You're right Miles.  Its 240mm shorter, lacks the wood decking, has a longer boiler house and doesn't have Andrew at the RC.

He would never have steered her full throttle at the rocks.

Any idea where I can find video or even pictures of the M, H & B model.  So far all I can find is on retail sites.

I van remember seeing some good pics, but I don't recall where, might come back to me, was probably at a show.

They're still producing my favorite MHB boat - the Opal.

Really.   I've not seen it on any website recently.  Do you have a link?

Here is a link to the Seekadett.

It may be worth contacting them just to see if they have an Opal left.
