A little bit of progress has been made on this one, it is all wood work which i am not the best at however i do have a usefull resource in my dad for that one as he is a carpenter by trade. I have used epoxy resin to glue a front and back block in to help hold the strings ( thats what i call the things on the side) in place as well as using fibreglass to hold the front bulkhead and rudder support in. The fibreglass probably is not needed however i have wanted to play with the stuff for years!
I then went about making a new engine base plate. I started by cutting out a rectangle (nearer to a trapezium ) and soldered a square strip about 3/8 inch tall around the burner base to hold it in place when sailing. I then drilled out the holes and mounted the boiler and engine.

few more pics to upload, these are of the inside of the boat which is still very much uncomplete. The pictures show the teak floor and seating along with a propshaft tunnel/ servo home!!
The cladding on the boiler has been taken off while i get some proper glass fibre matting. The engine plate is fixed in in the pictures, its held in by 4 4ba screws which are tapped into aluminuim cross members below. Under the floor there is lots and lots of lead to make the boat sit to the proper water level indicated on the plan and the boat now weighs a ton as it got such a wide beam it requires plenty of ballast ( or as my dad calls it the lead of our porch roof you thieving pikey )

Nice work mate...I have to say that the finish out of the wood detail in my launch was very satisfying indeed... happy work for the fingers! _________________ Lagniappe readily offered and accepted,

I was wondering if some one could shed some light on this for me. My krick/wilesco engine is unlike any i have ever seen, all the other krick twins using wilesco parts use a different configeration to mine with valves facing apart whereas mine are facing together. Has anyone ever seen another like mine? Have i made a giant mistake in building and using it and should i just have sold it brand new in box like i found it?
Here is mine and its configeration
Here is one on ebay at the moment with the different arangement
