oh well, a junior member & not even introduced myself.
46 lived in johannesburg my whole life-one of the most beautiful countries on Gods green earth (other complications however)
wildlife in abundance-i work less than a twenty minute drive from wild lion & rhino-cradle of humankind
rekindling a thirty plus year interest in steam-toys & fullsize-started with trips to cape town behind class 15 steam locos
a friend loaned me a mm1/2 as a youngster-parents forced return of said toy 'too expensive'-in retrospect i believe the playing with fire thing!!
well-a (re)new year of collecting and already more than ten engines including an African one (pop pop boat)
