What's that? All we had was "woodwork" or "metalwork" - and I was at a "Technical" school.

Wood and metal now!

If wood and metal are "Resistant Materials" (resistant to what?) what other sorts of materials are there?

Three technology subjects:

Food tech: cooking etc (not really technology IMHO!)
Textiles: Art for those who don't like painting
Resistant Materials, wood, plastic, metal, glass, card etc.!

In my day, woodwork was called woodwork, metalwork was called metalwork and cookery was called cookery (and only available to the girls - schools were sexist in those days!) Much simpler!

Aye, we have ICT. We have to do it short course, and we can do it long if we want. If you do full course tech you don't have to do ICT though, as it is covered in some tech.

I'm doing full course RM
