As you may recall I got this Model a couple of months ago and finally got it up and running.
When I received it, it had no steam line and firebox had been bend up when someone took the boiler out. Boiler was not put back the correct way.  I didn't discover that until I attempted to replace the steam line (line was brass tubing that I nickel plated)

Removed boiler, straightened out the firebox, made a brass "ferrule", nickel plated ferrule and 1/8 inch brass tube, soldered line and voila.

Found a near correct stack from a different Schoenner (right stack but for a larger model) and burner (close but not the correct one).

I do like that engine and I need to get hold of some Nickel so I can try your plating method.

Very nice engine, the restoration looks really good. Did you nickel plate it by yourself ?
