Just a quick picture....basically it's finished! Thanks to Nick's careful measurements making a new cab roof was a piece of cake. The new wheel can be seen on the rear here. I've got it temporarily coupled up to a nice old brake van I restored some time ago.

Wow, I though that would take as long as my Wilson piston fabrication mate  

What a total transformation, and I know how keen you were for the full set  

Great help from Nick, he provided some great pics with an L4 Latimer a while back as well.

It's solid wood, with printed paper. Paul, I have no idea about the age or manufacturer, it came from eBay with a job lot of other O gauge bits. As I live right next to the old GWR in Cardiff I obviously fell in love with it
