Great deal, although it looks like someone used JB weld to attached the steam pipe I haven't seen an electrically heated D101 before, should be fun _________________

Once the JB Weld is removed I bet it can be soldered. _________________ Non Impedite Raditioni Cogitationis |

yup, and if it is a batch made with more hardener, it should be able to chip off, with some "motivation" _________________

Does look JB Weld-ish, but it probably would function anyway. Not that it's the best solution, but considering I've seen it used to repair engine blocks, etc., and one of our own JB Welded a new exhaust pipe from a cylinder to a stack, it would likely hold (for a while at least). _________________ '48 Farmall Cub "Black Cat"

this is a bit ironic, I used JB weld on my D10's whistle thread. _________________ Ahh... The smell of esbit in the morning!

There's actually a high temp silicone that's called RTV, that will last much longer than JB weld, if you have to make a repair _________________

I dont think RTV will take the pressure., a good sealant but not a repair item. _________________ Non Impedite Raditioni Cogitationis |

good point, it's a silicone, not an epoxy _________________

IF it is a steam line that came loose. solder is the answer, if the bushing is gone, maybe a new one can be soldered in place. I have seen people use a to of Goop to cover ip a tiny flaw, it isnt fair to be an armchair quarterback, the repair might be very easy, lets hope it is. _________________ Non Impedite Raditioni Cogitationis |

Definatley. I would trust a good solder joint much more than epoxy. _________________
