Ahh I see. The showmans is pretty heavy though.

Not ready yet, the flange wheels to hold and drive the rear wheel around are too shallow. I have another plan . . . .  |

Just about sorted this little number now. Rebuilt the 'rollers' so it stay put on them . . .
Just need to steam it and get some batteries . . . .

The motor could also be used in reverse as a dynamo to power a bulb when the engine is under steam (depends on how fast it will go).
You could also measure the voltage generated at the motor and use it as a form of engine power measurement / comparison device.
Great fun all-round. |
