I've been playing with the loco's again

I thought for a change I would try two tracks and two loco's at the same time. There isn't a great deal of space on my patio, but I managed to get them on. The only dissadvantage being the outer track has so many hills/gradients it kind of hindered the performance on the side nearest the house. It was fine everywhere else. I thought I would put Rosa out there because she has more power

A few pictures:

Again, Dougie was running on solid fuel, got an OK run, but it finished a minute or two before Rosa, having pulled less and traveled a shorter distance . Still goes well on solid fuel though , oh, and the track was level

Video's:

The one just above was the first video I took actually, regulator wasn't open enough on Rosa, but I couldn't open too much as it speeds up quite a bit in one place where it comes down the gradient

I'll have another bash at that in better light, and a little less wind, always seems to pick up when I decide to fire my loco

Wonderful videos. How would they have moved if Dougie had been on the outer track? (Looking forward to getting ours and we need names ---lol) Cheers Jilly-Graham

Good stuff MM! It somehow looks more 'real' when there are two together.

Have you tried putting in a slip MM, so one loco can move from inner to outer circuit?

They would have been ok I'm sure, would have taken a few adjustments to the throttle and they'd have gone well! Solid fuel will work better in a warmer climate..i.e the OZ

Dougie did good, especially seeing has he seemed to drop some fuel at the beginning (real advantage of meths, it doesn't fall off like the solid stuff).

I think I would have set them off in opposite directions for some passing shots.

Don't suppose you have some cheap track for sale?

And they never seem to come up on ebay. Chas had some at Kempton Park, but they were all broken.

They were very cheap. Can't remember how much. He had a box of mamod track, but all very tatty/broken. I was tempted, so it must have been cheap!
