Hey Steve and Griff,

Flyer YES...almost off the bench. Without the plywood I screwed it to I could not keep it from moving for a video. On Esbit it doesn't need a weighty wood base...on Meths it absolutely did. I'm going to give that meths burner a try on a few of my other Esbit pieces...I DO understand now why you guys rave about meths vs. Esbit...higher octane stuff for sure.

Meths everytime Rog much better, constant flame, no horrible smell either.

Wouldn't ever go back to solid fuel on my Loco's! but sometimes you are forced into solid fuel. I.E the SP range (unless you mod the firebox of course ).

In the U.S. we also have cleaner meths than you poor buggers, none of that purple stuff that leaves soot...if there was any way to ship you guys the "good stuff", I would happily do it, but something tells me the airlines or even ships would frown on it.

I guess you will just have to polish more

I could not believe when you opened that throttle. I ducked for cover!

It's a fairly good runner. ( <--- My entry for "understatement of the year")

LOL...about time I turned the throttle up a notch, the thought did cross my mind that I hoped whoever soldered that Wilesco's joints was having a good day!! It would have made a spectacular video had she blown...I WAS wearing safety glasses, but "blast shields" might have been a better option!
