D3's first run
And second run
No commentary à la James, I'm afraid
And apologies for dirty rag but spewing out exhaust all over

Looks and runs great! One question:
Which of the two sight glasses do you fill up to _________________ Si

I think it's the top pone, and then as soon as it disappears below the bottom one you blow it out. _________________ Forum Founder, Owner and Admin.

Yep, James is right - fill to the top one & blow out when it reaches bottom one. Actually, you need better eyes than mine to see (OK in daylight) but an Esbit seems to last just the right time. I did measure how many cc's of water it takes but have forgotten! Having a central flue it is very tiny capacity but was still surprised by length of run. |
