You have to unclip the top of the burner, it's fairly easy!
Repack it cotton wool

Just gave her a first run after restoring the meths burner (which wasnt burning well). Still not steam tight (steam coming out of whiste and safety plug "bolt" due to no washers. She runs better than my TE1A so what this beast gonna be like when steam tight!

Get some washers around those valves and it will fly

You will get some water collecting at the base ofthe Chimney as the exhaust vents into it and some of the steam will condense there.
Where is the water being 'spat' out from? Worst you normally get is a small dribble from where the front wheels attach to the smoke stack assy. - unless the chimney is already full of water. |

Straight out of the top of the chimney! When I look down their the chimney is about half full. Will have another look tomorrow. Hopefully the overflow will be here as well!
