Hi,
I thought I'd inform you all that a individual is producing the perfect diesel companion for a Mamod/MSS steam loco, at the very good price of £62.50 + £4.50 P&P! There are photo's of the semi open cab loco here: www.rvlr.photos.gb.com/p38190627.html And the enclosed cab version here: www.rvlr.photos.gb.com/p38634030.html As for the one I had built with a few diffrences here: www.rvlr.photos.gb.com/p39329755.html

If you would like to purchase a loco like this you need to contact Peter Longfils, on his e-mail address rvlr_workshops(at)yahoo.co.uk (replace the (at) with @).

That is good, I am looking for something that will be a bit safer to leave running with the baby about.

I have seen these before but didn't know he was in full production.

He's not in full production, they are all constructed idividualy! The construction method is printed card glued on wood and finished of with a coat of varnish! And it's very effective.

No, it's very robust. And extremly well built. And if you have a certain accident and drive down the wrong siding and end up in the soil, the soil just wipes off.

It’ll haul 3 all heavy metal Mamod coaches up a 1 in 80 gradient! To me that is good preformance. the only problem I had was when i tryed to pull round my SL5 round with the cylinders on, it struggled but made it in the end.

It has a simple Forward-Off-Reverse with, and does not include a speed control, as not many locos on that chassis do.

I would say it's a very good loco, and you definatley get your moneys worth, and on request Peter may fit a speed conrol, but with a price increase of course.

You seem to know him well. He is one of the original members of this forum but has never posted. Could ya drop him a line to say he has people interested in buying his products and get him to come on here so I could talk to him in person?

Cheers
