It went well till I toped up the meths, not realising I had some on my hand and my hand just burst in to flames when I was checking that the burner was still alight!!!!!

Sorry, I the mean feel of it.

In a crate, on the landing, awaiting the next trip to Wales from a friend, who'll take them to Sheffield and repair the loose dome threads in the boilers.

I've expressed my feelings towards running it the bottom of this page: www.modelsteam.myfreeforum.org/ftopic3216-0-asc-10.php Also I feel that the friends who gave it to me wouldn't find it very nice, if I kept it as a collectors item, so one day I could sell it and make a few bob. Also it makes me one of the only people who'll run one, and to a collector, to see it run is probaly diffrent to the usual 'stare at it'.

Run it, enjoy it. Why not.

Nice one.

These locos are cheeky chappies, no point having one in a box on the shelf.

Any loco under solid fuel would shoot off if you overcook the regulator! All mamod locos are superheated anyway
