'

Just to show a little more about this product, a short video.

Both videos are the same.  I put one small hoping the definition would be better, and one larger hoping
you would be able to see what's going on.   Sorry, my hands are sometimes in or out of frame as I'm explaining
things.  I tried to zoom in close enough for you to see it.  My camera doesn't make very clear vids.

Something I forgot to mention in the other thread;  Don't try to put solder paste into what you are soldering
when it's hot!  The paste in the needle will instantly turn into solder, and your needle will be plugged for good.
Put the solder on the joint only when it's cold.  Don't ask how I know about this...

Here's a pic of the joint done in the video.  That stuff makes a nice joint.

Hope that was useful.

Dean

That was very useful, Dean.
Hope I can find soldering paste over here for a reasonable price.
You made it look so easy!

Dean, I really learn something when I watch your videos or picture by picture tutorials.  I did order some of that paste, a micro torch like yours and some butane refills from SRA-solder.com  Look forward to giving the stuff a try.

thanks again,

That video has convinced me to try some. It's surprisingly cheap.

I have bought this solder paste off ebay.co.uk and you can also get it in silver solder paste for the higher heat/stronger jobs.

Fantastic video Dean, my soldering is terrible at the best of times but watching you doing it has convinced me to have a go as it looks straightforward and easier than using wire. It should be perfect for doing my ME3's steam pipe as it is an awkward job to do.

Yes. Do a search for solder paste in Ebay and you'll get loads, mostly in Hong Kong and China but a few in UK. Make sure you get the solder paste not just flux!
