Hi folks, here's my SE2 finished. Firebox and baseplate have been repainted, as somebody had had a go at that with a big brush, and I've reinstated the exhaust pipe. The decal is a Flywheel61 original!

Very interested in your comments, especially with regard to date. It came in a colour printed cardboard box (well, remnants of....), which gives the address as Camden Street, Brum.

Wow, it's a nice nice model you have there Moose!

The age, well it's certainly around the late 50's. Maybe at the very very latest '62 due to the burner. But it's very nice!

Have you fired it up yet mate? looks a stunner!

Very nice indeed! Don't think mine is ever going to look that good, I took it to my mate's workshop to start restoring and ended up firing it up instead...

Looks very nice moosman, acording to the bible it should be from between 1958 and 1965.

As a finishing touch, you might consider painting the inside of the chimney red

Why not! If it's supposed to be red I don't see any harm in that!
Thanks for the tip!

Looks really good, MooseMan. Is Vibrant Red a pretty close match?

I agree with Erik, just give the inside of the chimney a lick of red paint

I used Radiant red on my SE4, the Rosso is a little bit too dark IMO!
