Got the D10 this morning from Germany

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAP...em=270115462109&rd=1&rd=1

Heres a pic as recieved:

Pretty pleased with it for the money. Runs like a demon as well so once I get her resprayed a proper colour should be very nice! Note the esbits and brand new funnel which also came as part of the deal.

Will put pics up (and vid if i can get a decent video) so you can all watch my progress.

Congrats Tarby,

Doesn't look like it will take too much to put it into first class shape.
Fact it runs as received is a big plus!!

I'll be a lot of Esbit travels by air unknown to the airlines. Think of every new German built Wilesco shipped to the US by air...sellers tout free Esbit.

Makes me laugh, I once was prohibited from shipping a couple of ounces of steam oil to the UK from the US via air, had to go by sea. Reason, it was flammable. I countered (unsuccessfully) that nearly every corrogated boxed parcel in the post office headed for a plane was flammable ...postmaster failed to see the humor in that statement. So much for honestly answering the question about whether item being shipped was "flammable" .

Rog I always ask that they take out the tablets before shipping but a few have sliped through. so much for their parcel checking systems

No idea Chris. Came in a big white van is all i know!!! :L Box has gone so I can't check

They are a bit fuel hungry these Wilescos. 4 esbit tablets per run (20 in a box at 2 quid) works out at 40p a pop! Theres no way it costs that to fire my meths fired mamods!!! The paint on the bottom is partly original and it turns out my guess in the car shop for paint colour wasn't bad afterall (though its lighter than the wilesco colour unlike what the photo below would make you believe!!)

So do I and they still send them. I'm just concerned one of these days, one of us is going to get pinged - or even worse the engine confisacated over someone else not doing the right thing.

Cheers

Chris

Nice one Tarby, and yes Esbit can work out expensive.

It might be an idea to get a meths burner for the engine.
