The lesson is to follow the board rules, but not to expect the moderators or admin to neccassarily abide by them themselves.......

I find that comment uncalled for and downright rude.

If you've a complaint then PM one of us.

I think your ideas of how things work here is warped to say the least, and I don't like being accused of breaking the rules.

Sandy, I do not believe that I accused you of breaking the rules. My point is that you yourself have told me in a PM that Admin is all but above the rules, as and I quote from your own PM to me.

''Admin has never been given a yellow card, as no one on the forum has the right to do so.

Admin owns this forum, and at the end of the day could ,in theory ,do anything he likes with it. ''

Silly Billy fell foul of upsetting admin, like a number of others who are also no longer are involved here. This saddens me and devalues this board.

I have notice just that the board rules have recently been changed. Previously members who fell foul should have been given a 'yellow card'. I see this is no longer. Is this because I asked how many yellow cards admin had recieved?

Not my place to step in here, but it looked to me that SB left on his own I saw no talk of banishment.
It is none of my business, I am not a Mod. but I hope that this stops here as I do not want to see you leaving in a huff either.
In fact I still see his profile listed in the Member List. I only want it not to look like the Mods acted unfairly

I really wish you would get your facts right before spreading poison on these boards.

Billy was banned because he used these boards to verbally abuse one of our members. He posted the same message on three separate boards.

That would have merited the same response whether that was aimed at admin or any other member.

Also his accusations were made about an incident that took place on MSN, nothing to do with this forum.

Please get your facts right before accusing anyone of breaking any rules.

A huff is a fit of anger I guess.
Sadly, Internet forums sometimes bring the worse out of some people. I am naive sometimes, but I always look for the better side of everyone. I just do not like it when people get their feelings hurt or worse and most often over something simple that never would have entered the picture if it was a case of face to face meeting.

BC, Silly Billy was banned for plastering slanderous comments across this forum and another about James and when he posted them he knew he would be banned for doing that as he even said he would in his post.
So before you give your take on 'how things are run' can you please get the facts right to start with.

Sandy,

Please can you tell me where I accuse anyone of breaking forum rules? I have read and re read my posts and I cannot find any reference to any accusations.

I have stated that Alan should not expect the moderators to do so. I quantified that statement with your words from a PM you sent me. Effectively you told me that the moderators did not neccassarily apply forum rules to admin. No more no less.

That is what your PM said. Since that time forum rules have changed, and are noticably less specific as to the course of action the moderators will take.

My previous PM discussion was about how I felt that the moderators were over zealous. To the effect that 'fallings out' were 'covered up' and hidden from forum members. I think JohnReid's comment on how the thought SillyBilly just stopped posting sums up what I tried to let you know perfectly.

I do not think my comments rude, as I have said they only say what you as a moderator told me via PM.  At the time I suggested you put your PM on open forum. you did not.

I have made myself clear on this matter and will not discuss it further.

Your post quite clearly stated.

but not to expect the moderators or admin to neccassarily abide by them themselves.......

I am a moderator and I abide by the rules.
