You have inspired me.
I was going to suggest the PM Research 8M because it is a self starter V2 or the wilesco D49 if you can get one without the boiler.
I was going to suggest putting it at the front like a Morgan 3 wheeler. But it looks like I'm too late.

What you have there looks great but you just wont see the engine which I suppose is like your inspiration photo. But I would still like to see the engine when it is running.

There's many possibilities if money were no object, but I'm trying to keep costs down. I want to keep most of the main components Wilesco made so, if I were going for a V it would have been a D49. I do want to put the engine inder the chassis to keep it like the original. (Sorry it's out of sight ) I would have prefered a D48 but none showed up at a price I was prepared to pay so it's going to be the D52.

If you feel inspired to build a Morgan using a V twin then go for it, that would be great

Just realised, I took some photos a few days ago and never got round to posting them They are of the engine unit mounted in position with the drive components.

I'm just sorting out the boiler and burner mountings. The boiler will be just a bit higher than shown in the last photo above.

OK, here are todays photos. I've mounted the boiler and bent the pipework for the burner (final adjustment of position still TBD). I cut down the original firebox to use the existing fixing for the boiler.

It will make some sort of debut at J26, at whatever stage it's at. I doubt if it will be anything like complete, though
