Nicely done Moose.
Hopefully the weather will be nice to me this weekend and I can get some painting done.

Thank you all! Lovely sound, isn't it? On that video it was just running in, first run in who knows how many years.
Glad you all like the restoration as well - this forum's a great place, I've picked up about a million useful tips here!

I used a red oxide primer, followed by venetian red spraypaint and then a thin layer of "radiant red". At that point I applied the decal and laquered the base over by hand with clear JapLac. The burner was hand painted with humbrol cream, and the firebox, chimney and boiler strap are gloss Hammerite. Flywheel touchup was red humbrol.

Aye - your tip BTW!

Of course everything was baked for a few hours in a nice cool oven.

Holy Smokes Odilon!! Maybe I need to ship a few of my engines over for a day or two at the Mooseman Steam Engine Spa and Brass Buffing Boutique. That one's sure benefited from your loving touch.

I normally make them myself, but in this occasion I used one made by Mike Cooke (a specialist in all things Bowman) - absolutely superb quality.

Chris and I were thinking of reproducing the Bowman decal, but were unsure of how much demand we would have

Same with the luton!
