Is it sad that I had to look the word up!? 43 years in England and I'd never heard of a "Mackem"!

As a knowledge-less southerner, I would not dare to disagree with you, and I will bow to your superior knowledge of northern slang!

For the chimney size this thread will help
http://modelsteam.myfreeforum.org/about7330.html&highlight=m175
The flywheel is mazak, Im sure it will work fine still, I remember as a 10 year old attacking the flywheel on my dads with a screwdriver- all is fine but theres a few scratches remaining.
They whizz round so fast it used to fascinate me then as much as now
Maybe best to leave as it is, as part of its history
Fraser if you want a chimney as a template to replicate a new one then let me know and I can post one on. Although copper is the easy way, it does make the engine thats rather light a bit too chimney end heavy. _________________ You cant get an engine for that anymore unless you are lucky |

Here is the chimney size.

That's nice and will make a great resto project.
If you do choose to fill the missing part on the flywheel try a "metal filler" type stuff. It's like putty for your fuel tank/radiator. There are other types out there where you mix 2 tubes of stuff together to make a paste that goes rock hard (Liquid FE by Wurth) is one but it's too expensive.
Here's another
