If it was mine I think I would paint it maroon.

I admit that maroon doesn´t look bad. So  I agree with Les, but brunswick green would suit her too I suppose.

cheers Joe

Nice work! Regarding paint, I'd suggest dark green with white or yellow lining.

I will suggest no painting ,you stain the wood and varnish it so the wood veins can be seen inside.

Great suggestions guys

I was thinking along those lines too.
So that's what I'll do, I'll paint it Dark Green, Maroon, Unpainted, Yellow, and White.

I guess I'd better get painting.

Cheers,
             Bill

Thanks all,

There are a few things left to do before I fire her up again.
Like let the paint dry
My signboards are carved from .030 thick ply
and need to be fastened down more solidly.
double sided tape holds them now.

I've also got to make
an extension handle for the reverse lever,
a new exhaust pipe,
Buffers,
and a proper roof.

I'll get to it soon.

Cheers,
            Bill

OK,  Almost there!

Got the roof formed and added venting to let some of the heat out.

Also trying on some Mamod buffers to see how they look.
