Here you can buy them online shipped to your door with no permits, licenses or govt. involvement.  Of course if you abuse the privilage you might have an officer at your door with a neighbor noise complaint.

With the 4th approaching, I plan to give my golf ball mortar a good workout right off my back deck over the lake.  My neighborhood goes nuts with fireworks on the 4th and no one will think anything of it.  


You would even bee more surprised to hear that you have to be 18 years old and need a gun licence to use a blank gun in Germany... The blank gun also has to be testet by a government agency and has to be marked with a special stamp for blank guns.
Something like that canon with a 10 gauge caliber even if only capable to fire blanks would give you some umpleasant time at a criminal court or at least the prosecutor would impose a hefty fine on you.

I will top that one...

In Denmark firecrackers and anything above that which goes "boom" on the ground is prohibited by law, and you will get prosecuted by even owning anything of the sort

...stupid politicians now all of us "criminals" will have to make all our "dynamite" by our self in the shed instead of being able to buy good tested professionally produced items...


Sometimes we Americans take our freedoms for granted...not me, I appreciate every one of them and do all I can at the ballot box to retain them!!!
