My 4 year old son was looking at the junk mail and he spied Meccano. "Look Daddy theres your Meccano !" The latest Toy World brochure in Brisbane Australia has this old style set for $49.99. I have uploaded some pics and the box alone is a ripper. Heavy card with dividers and seperate box lid.

Will make four models. My son is well schooled in all aspects of things from the olden days.

Interesting, there is a Toy World near me, might have a look.
I hate the modern Meccano, give me the old steel sets with no plastic in it.

Wow, that is a very nice set.

I'll have to tell my old man about it.
Even the slightly older stuff with it's plastic gears is absolute rubbish

Old stuff is great
