By back end do you mean before christmas? Recently the Museum has been advertising out of season events so it might be in November...

It might be a two day event. If that were to persuade you?

Is it anywhere near Sutton?

Would that be the Sutton in Surrey? If so the Museum is roughly 50 miles from Sutton

Hmmm quite a way from my Grandma's then

You can stay over at Amberley if you wish. Either in one of the buildings (if there is room!) or a tent, car etc.

Enter your village/nearest town in the 'From' box, and Amberley Working Museum in the 'To' box:

http://www.rac.co.uk/web/routepla...lid=leftNav&lpos=routeplanner

Then when it comes up with Confirm locations, select:

Museum
Amberley Museum
New Barn Road
Arundel, West Sussex
BN18 9 (UK)

That's perfectly big enough MM, even to big. You could sit on the back of a Mamod SW1 on the M25 and still keep up with the traffic in the "fast lane"

Sounds good Si, only 35 miles for me

Total distance: 234.71 miles, 377,7 km
Estimated total journey time: 5 h 5 min
... if you're lucky with traffic: 4 h 36 min
... if you're unlucky with traffic: 5 h 40 min
