I really would like to get one of those SE2s eventually. I like the different style of engine, as opposed to the great long piston rod ones.

It cost me £72 so I'm happy with that.

It did needed a new burner which was £14 from Forest Classics.

But as the saying goes: they aren't making them like that any more so if you see one go for it!

How easy it it to get replacement whistles for those old engines.

I often see engines on e-bay with the whistle broken or is just a top piece lost/ missing. knocked off.
