Here we go.
Floor fitted, front brass band fitted, butane burner system installed, oil lubricator installed but looking at these pictures needs tweaking as its leaning over a bit.
Just needs manual reverse lever temporarialy installed so I can test it. Will be making it RC.
I stuck my part assembled cabin on again to guage total size of loco.

Looks staggering, shame to get oil on it, interesting to see the footplate details, this one is gas fired?
See all the connections for the diplacement lubricator fitted, have you take the regulator handle off? Stunning looking engine. |

Yes it is butane fired, the gas cylinder is the black cylinder on the right looking into the cabin
I've swapped the manual regulator over to what will be the RC regulator as its the whole assembly you swap not just the lever and wanted to get the pipes bent up for the RC one not the manual one.
I know what you mean about shame to get oil on it but how could you build something like this and not run it. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm

My thought entirely! Does the servo fit under the roof? |

| Look forward to seeing that, certainly is a very well thought out and laid out engine. I see the drain the lubricator is outside too. |

Yes I think they got the shoe horn out when they designed this engine, very little space wasted in it thats for sure.
I plan at a later date to fit a working whistle. Going to probably use a micro servo and hide the resonator under the right tank to fit it. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm

Certainly gathering apace tmuir. I have seen many a 'Lady Anne', so I know how big they are, but your pics make it look huge _________________ Si

She looks fantastic. Nice to see a green one for a change too. Most of the one's Ive seen are red (I cant realy complain as my 2 mamods and my Merlin are all red) Was the valve timing dificult to set up?
I know quite a few people who have got roundhouse locos from Millies to the Darj and one of the brand new Penrhyn Hunslets and they are all fantastic little loco's (well the Darj isnt that little )
When my 6 numbers come up it will have to be a VoR 2-6-2.
once they are run in and your used to how they work and how high to have the gas etc the will pull anything. |

Yes Valve gear took a bit to set up at first, but now I've figured out the trick I would be able to do it much quicker next time.
When I get around to updating my website I will put in all the little tricks I learnt, like the steam chest has a little play in it with the fixing screws and has about 1 1/2mm free movement in it around fixing bolts which really screws up your timing if you measure off the valve chest for centre position and dont realise its not sitting perfectly central.
Off to fit the manual direction control so I can give it a test run now. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm

Ahhhh the sweet smell of steam oil in the afternoon...............
Just completed Lady Anne's first ever steaming.
Decided against doing it on blocks and laid out my track.
It ran near perfectly, a little sticky at real slow speeds in reverse but I think that will improve as its run in without touching the timing.
It sounds and smells completely different to a Mamod, for a start you've got the hissing of the butane fire, the smell of the hot oil on all the linkages. You will atleast hear the difference on the video sorry I dont have smell 'O' vision aswell.
I'll be uploading a video shortly that I may break into 2 halves soon for all your pleasure, but it will be a high Res Vid so people with a dialup may want to start it to download and get a cup of coffee. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm
