just been over to the pumping station. looks like the steam engine will all be in steam as the beam engine was hissing out steam from the cylinder and the boiler was fairly warm when i walked past it. FRED, i dont know if it was you i saw, but i was the young lad with short hair and a black fleece on, who walked past (you???) when a guy was rolling a gas drum along the floor to the workshop, and (you???) said "how are you going to get it back up after?", its the guy in the pic, was it you???

marque is just about up, here is a pic:

im really looking forward to seeing you all on sunday. oh, and whilst im the beam engine room, i was looking at the cctv camera screen in there, and there was a loco layout set up on the top floor with 2 locos on it with lots of wagons. is this titans? or someone elses?

see ya all on sunday

The loco setup on the top floor will be for the Bowman Circle, they always have a huge display with lots of locos in steam.

Not mine! I will be arriving and setting up in the morning.  I understand that the beam engines are not normally working during STIA, due to the number of people and railway layouts on the engine room floor.  I would't mind if they are running !!

i read also on the notice on the beam engine. when they came to restore it, one of the pistons was siesed into the cylinder and refused to move under 90 tons of hydrolic pressure. so they had to smash the piston up to get it out of the cylinder. and also, i was reminded about the man who was killed during the erection of the engine. he fell from the top floor of the engine house and landed in the basement.

Lewis, we hope to be there for 11, no idea what to do with the tables, I think best to stick em together if thats OK, dont understand how the tables work think ours will just squash onto one but may overflow a bit

Ive run off some laminated Mamod forum  logos like the top of the boards, so could stick em on the front of the tables- they dont look too good, but best I could do.

Whos bringing the heaters, that marquee looks proper cold
