Just ran my SE4 driving the Bowman dynamo, bit of a disaster - firstly thought I would use a nice SP1 safety valve (My SE4 one needs a new seal) baddd idea once into the run it leaked all the time and constantly blew off - hence poor performance. Secondly should have connected the drive band around the big flywheel instead of the smaller pullies - bad idea again as I should know the pullies are driven by the geared countershaft - these rotate slower and this isn't good for the electricity generating purposes - couldn't get the band apart couldn't get it on the big flywheel. You have to dismantle the engine unit to get the drive band on . . . .

Lastly engine ran rough - lube problems - it still ran for 30 mins, but not at the speed I needed. Will try again sometime. Some you win, some you lose!

Will post a few pics and vids if peeps want to see it running.

Buggeration!!!

I want that one

Shame you didn't get it running properly Mike, you should have used your Bowman valve, or the one you used last time you uploaded a video of the SE4 in action
