where did you get the info from mm ?
also if they bring out a new sp6 guess who will be buying another
im gonna see if my sp6 can drive 2 full mamod workshops soon
and if they do eventually bring a twin slide valve stationary out ill be getting it straight away |
Nothing is set in stone Lewis!
the first piston valve engines they sold, they had a lot of problems with it leaking water at the bottom of the piston valve. They've sorted it 100% now.
Doesn't make them rare now but in a few years maybe, so Buy them up before they're gone.
Mamod can't please everyone and they seem to get way too much criticism considering the models they make are generally good.
These new models are far from rubbish, the designer has loads of ideas, he just needs backing _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode

They so badly need a web page that actually describes their products, the one they have now makes one think about going to the Wilesco site and get some information for future purchases. _________________ Your life is an occasion...Rise to it |

Well I agree that is stretching it a bit
The Jensen site is a good one, but at times I wish there was more detailed info about the engines. But I think that I am not the customer that they are designing the site for, if I need more info I ask Roger or Cedge. _________________ Your life is an occasion...Rise to it |

I'm a big fan of Mamod and wish them all the best. They really must concentrate on quality control because that is all thay puts me off.
Their web site is awful. They really must improve that if they want to build the business. There really is no excuse for having a poor website these days and it doesn't cost much to make something very nice. In fact, look at some of the member websites on here and thay are a 100 times better than Mamod's own _________________ Chuff chuff!! |

I still think they sould hire Cedge to do it, I do not think that there would be a conflict of interest. Although they are both Toy Steam Companies, the products are different enough that they should be Allies and not consider themselves competition. _________________ Your life is an occasion...Rise to it |

I agree! The website tells you squat and just sells the items at an inflated RRP compared to what other companies sell them for. And the quality is questionable. I love the look of their new mobiles and am impressed with them, like the William that Titan so kindly demonstrated at STIA. I want an engine that needs skill to run, where's the fun in turning a reg and then doing nothing until it runs out of puff? (Preferably not turning into a fireball though )
It feels like we should get together and offer to help Mamod with a bit of friendly advice from their loving customers. I think the main thing would be:
'Check the quality of what you're producing!'
Still really curious to see what they're doing, give us something to wet the appetite _________________ Worrying the populace since '82' |
