| Thanks Tony, the Mogul looks a bit of a dog as it has just had a full strip down and rebuild. A coat of paint and it will look like brand new. The Bowman ran for so long I was getting worried that it would run dry, after the burner ran out there was 60ml left in the boiler. A little less meths next time to improve on the safety margin. |

I thought they helped keep the oil in and if they are soaked with oil will give a better seal.

| I soak mine in oil to lubricate the cylinder wall. I think you have problems else where. Make sure when you replace your felts you fit a retainer behind them. I have some spare ones I will send you a pic so you can see what I mean. |
