|
|
At last, here it is.
I finish the restoration on this engine.
My pal from nuremberg made me a new boiler plug and a new screw for the water gauge.
I soldered the steam pipe up and made all cocks go.
A little bit work on the finish (polished the nickel bits a little bit)
The photos do not show how it looks in real (boiler seems on photos too blotched)
Now on steam it runs perpectly...not very fast, but very powerfull.
Watch the video closely, in the last party it drives the big caroussel on the outter rim of its flywheel
PS. you might notice the two bashes...thats when the airplanes of the caroussel hit the cam twice _________________ ....."Remember: It's Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con"..... |

Can't say exactly.
I paid 500,- euro's for this one...
Today there ended another bing similar to this on french ebay for about 700,- euro's BUT that was a smaller one (had not that special water gauge and not a cast iron firebox door)
So you can guess the rest _________________ ....."Remember: It's Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con"..... |

Yes, I think this is just the right amount of restoration that was needed. _________________ ....."Remember: It's Bi-Mon-Sci-Fi-Con"..... |

I would like one of those, it would go nicely with the rest of my Bings. _________________ Les - Old age isn't so bad when you consider the alternatives.

... great engine, congrats, Mirko! I like the way it drives your home-made plane caroussel. _________________ Says Tom

Very good runner!!!
I have the same model from about 1924 -1932 without the feed pump or governor but the boiler is fitted with a pressure gauge. _________________ You should buy a Marklin, their Great!! |
