It was great to meet you MTA today and Minor 1PJG and Les Marsh.
I'm sure I meet some more of you but most likely can't remember!! sorry

It was great to see five D32's!!!, Both mine and my friend Owen Robert's were in steam, but the whistle was a little to loud for the room we were in!!

There was a lovely marklin steam engine on display in one of the rooms with a double action cylinder, feed-pump and governor, which I offered £20.00 for but didn't get!!!

I have spent the evening cleaning and oiling my Doll overtype and marklin engines, which I steamed today. all part of the fun!!

I didn't get around to steaming any of my pre-war british engines, german won the day!!!. theres always next year!!

Steamman,

That is one huge Marklin in MTA's photo.

What model is it?

MTA,

Thanks for the great pics.

Really enjoyed this thread.

Nice collection there, Paul

Anyone got any pictures of Les and his collection?  I've seen so many 'teasers' from him I'd really like to see it all together.

I wasn't able to get any pictures of Les' collection. Everytime I went to take a photo there were people standing around it

I believe Les took some pics though, although he hasn't been on today so we should be seeing his anyday now

Les even has a new camera, I would think that he took some photos as he said he would.

A few photos, mainly Forum orientated.

I've split them between the two main forums (fora?) on the grounds that I am too lazy to do it all twice and I think most people use both fora anyway. But I can't resist putting this one on both.

Please note, the two people in the first pic are not my parents. They are two very good friends of mine who ferried me to Tilford and back
