On the job hunt :)
Well ive just been laid off today, which is a bit of a bummer, so if anyone knows of any jobs going in the north east, let me know

Already been on to two managers of depots that I know, to see if theres anything going, will find out soon
On the job hunt :)
I'll think of you and good luck hunting.

Keep your enthusiasm and Mrs Fortune will smile at you

Jon I wish you every luck with your job hunting mate especially when you upped sticks to find a job in the north east mate. I will keep my ears open for you Jon.
On the job hunt :)
Sorry to hear your bad luck Jon - thought your present job was a step in the right direction. Hopefully something will turn up quickly and this will turn out to be a good thing!
On the job hunt :)
Sorry Jon, hope things turn around soon.
On the job hunt :)
Thanks guys, ive not taken it too hard to be honest, ive had a few fall outs with the new manager, (wrong person promoted into a position, without prior experience), and his lack of understanding for what I do. Id been thinking about a job change for the last week so this might just be the prod I need
On the job hunt :)
Jon,

My mate has set himself up as a gardener free lance, lawn cutting, hedges, clearing up and doing and has got to the stage where he has so much work he can't cope.

He made himself take the Easter weekend off, to have a break. He charges 150 a day  -

Just putting options out there  - Good luck mate & take care

Cheers

Mark

Thanks for the suggestion Mark working for myself wouldn't be too bad, its just getting the work in your local area that takes time, plus I haven't the equipment to startup just like that without a fair bit of outlay, which wont have just yet! I'll put it out on some facebook sites around Darlington and see what comes back. A few hundred quid for a lawnmover would get me started

Its never convenient being laid off, why doesn't it happen the day after you get offered a better job, with a week to think about it?

embrace change mate and the self employer path is not easy but very satisfying in my opinion...very best of luck
On the job hunt :)
I am very sorry to read about your problem Jon
Hope is, you will get lucky with new job very soon.

I'm sure being jobless is going to cause some stressful financial times. Hopefully something comes along quickly.

Do you have any qualifications?
On the job hunt :)
Thanks Rog, Knut, and Kevin  your comments are much appreciated.
Jim I don't have any qualifications, I got good GCSE's when I was 16, but times have moved on, I have a lot of experience in stock control and a fair bit of searching tonight, I've got 11 jobs I could apply for, 3of them would be pretty good, the others ok,. So its CV updating for me
