THE WOODROW RAILWAY
[quote="pauly"]Iv been very busy these last couple of days.
what with it getting darker sooner on evenings I cant let my 3 inch high passengers ride in dark carriages!
I could just fit lghts to my existing coaches but I used it as an excuse to paint some Bachmann pre lit coaches
Do you have any photos of them lit up!
THE WOODROW RAILWAY
new loco with new carriages
have fitted Brandbright couplings to replace the knuckles
for a back story I think the Woodrow bought them from a closing amusment park.
and the cardboard loco is becoming ever more frustrating!
THE WOODROW RAILWAY
Well Iv finished the cardboard loco!
and Iv hated every minute of it!
I couldnt get a clean cut on the curves and the instructions where infuriatingley bad! I knew your supposed to read ahead but thats no excuse for bad instructions! at 1 point it tells me to paint the boiler, fair enough but then on the next page it tells me to put it in a vice and drill a hole through it! shurley it makes more sense to put it in a vice and drill it first before painting it.....
and when I was fitted the motor unit I thought I could smell something comming form the motor and leaned in close, a lock of my long hair got caught in the gears! I had my finger on the switch so it didnt pull me in to far.
It mus have looked hillairious! the engines light enough to be supported by my hair so when I got it caught and jumped back I had a locomotive hanging fro my head!
had to cut a chunk of my hair off to free myslef then had to spend a good half hour pick hair out of the motor...
anyway heres some pics
I wont be making cardboard models again anytime soon because its such a redundent way of making models now that we have access to plasticard which is much easier to use.

That looks great! , although I can see the frustration and annoyance in working with cardboard ...

I think that this would be cool in styrene as a trackside item. The "kit" is free, so no reason why it couldn't be used as the template for a styrene version. Be a bit more durable too...
THE WOODROW RAILWAY
What a relaxing run Iv just had.
perfect off the mark, no chasing trying to slow down or speed up, good steam effects, good shots. just perfect.
