Hello all!
At some point I'm going to try and build my own lubricator for my TE1a mod 'Sovereign' as the roundhouse one is simply too large for my needs (asthetically at least). My simple question is,, how big does the hole have to be in the pipe that passes through the lubricator? I'm hoping someone with a roundhouse or I.P. lubricator could let me know!
Many thanks! _________________ Worrying the populace since '82' |

The one on my SE4 is pretty small... certainly no more than 1mm in diameter _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode
You could get a nice flatbase for that

Is that a lubricator with the pipe passing through the bottom, or through the top like a roundhouse? Do you reckon the hole size varies with the design?
How quickly does the oil get used in your SE4? I recall reading the the Mamod regulators have a habit of 'dumping' their oil very quickly. _________________ Worrying the populace since '82' |

The whole in the roundhouse lubricator is very small its smaller than 1mm maybe even as little a 0.4 to 0.5mm, I know I have something that gives a dimension of this but cant remember what. I'll look through my books and see if I can find it.
The IP lubricators for Mamods basically have the pipe open up into the oil as this is not a very efficient design so needs a bigger opening. _________________ http://www.freewebs.com/ozsteam/index.htm

Many thanks for that, very much appreciated

Very quickly
You would be better with a small pipe going up and making it a displacement lubricator _________________ Solid Fuel tablets explode
