Sorry guys. On a new Thread as requested. Sorry to John Chapman for hi-jacking his intro. (See The John Chapman thread on this topic)

My name is Sandy Hunter from Ayrshire in Scotland. I'm an engineer to trade but have been in the past a professional guitarist, and employed in the civil service for twenty years. I'm 58 years old and have been retired for the past 6 years.(Nice little package)

I only took up the hobby about 6 months ago and have amassed a varied collection of Mamods both stationary and mobiles. My main interest is in older engines with a love of Bowmans in particular. I have at present eight including two Luton Bowmans that I treasure.

I also have a love of travel, and try to get away as many times a year as I can. I'm married to my wife Mary who I try valiantly to get interested in model steam with questionable results.

I am known for my sense of humour as many will know from my posts here, so if I make some jockular comments from time to time, I mean no harm. I believe a smile is one of the best tonics I have ever come across.

That's about it. Sorry I can't make it more interesting but that's who I am.

Sandman

LOL. Thanks MM.

The little package was a Government one. I would have retired at 55 anyway. They gave me my full pension at 52 if I accepted early retirement. Nearly bit their hand off.

Best thing I ever did.

Nah. Just shut my workplace down. At that time the big thing was to reduce the numbers in the civil service, so they offered big inducements for people to leave the service.

I was one of the first in line.
