Hello,

Steam Toys North will be held on the 23rd of July 2017 at Armley Mills, Leeds' industrial museum.

Anyone interested in exhibiting would be most welcome, we have use of a large, well-lit room in the museum. The museum itself is wonderful, lots to see.

There aren't many toy steam events at this end of the country, so please support it if you can.

Reply here or by PM to me, and I'll put you in touch with the organisers.

Edward

I'll be up for it again. Also if Graham could send me some leaflets i could get them distributed at steam rallies.

I'll be going- it's a great day out and there is an enormous quantity of interesting things to see at the museum.

Come on chaps put the date in your diary and book a table!

Right come on guys, there is loads of you live near Armley Mills Kirkstall, or at least a few miles aways

I'm in Darlington and currently trying to rearrange plans to make the event again this year

Also Patrick any chance of the Burrell coming up to play this year? Would look good sizzling away at the door drawing people in Id be happy to guard it

Ive also put to Graham about a possible 16mm layout?? 32mm gauge, theres a few of you have locos from accucraft and roundhouse, to name a couple of manufacturers, I have the track and could build a layout if there is sufficient interest in doing so?

We did consider taking an engine last year but left the thought a bit too late. I shall email Graham and see if we are allowed to.

Could the forum layout be borrowed for this event i wonder? Would be a shame if it was only used once a year at STL. Im sure we could arrange transport for it from Lincoln to the North and back.

That could work out well as I have some buildings and bits for the layout,  would be an easy way to bring them both together

We'd still need some locos to run on it
