Ideal one for whomever has taken over from Alan Dunster as the Unique Mamod Locomotives collector?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AMAZING...item33d46ffb2e:g:lGkAAOSwRypZisCb

It even comes with a boiler full of (French) water!

Quite an impressive conversion but £1590?!, also an '0-2-0'? She looks like a four wheeler to me (0-4-0), they must be using some foreign wheel arrangement system, I was about to add that an 0-2-0 is regarded as impossible,  but it seems bessytractor on here has done it!  http://modelsteam.myfreeforum.org/ftopic43695-0-0-asc-.php

Well the British actually use 2 foreign wheel arrangements, the American Whyte notation for steam locomotives (Southern Railway used a modified UIC notation) and small internal combustion locomotives, with large diesel locomotives using the German based UIC notation.

France uses the UIC notation, although generally replaced the Upper Case letters with numbers.

Hence 0-4-0T in the UK, is Four-Coupled in USA, Bt in Germany & 020T in France.

Simples!

A very interesting conversion, but even if you knocked a "1" off the front of the price, it'd still be a bit optimistic.

That is a very nice conversion. The valve gear is quite detailed.

Nice looking locomotive.

Not cheap but price is on a par with what you would expect to pay for a similar engine from Roundhouse or Accucraft.
