Found this little chap on the garden path looking bemused:

It's a field frog living by open areas eating what roams the ground there

Our only eduble frog in northern Europe.

This one is quite young.

We had a toad who bui,t a nest in our compost corner but the killer snails drove her away

That's a great picture of a lovely miniature marvel of nature. I found some miniature frogs in there hundreds at a lake called Speichersee Plettsaukopf close to ZELL am See up the Schmitten.
