This arrived today - not as good as expected - funnel was broken off, front axle bent so wheels at 45º ! firebox and mudguards rusty ... and a little dust !!! body isn't too bad though which is a plus.

Still ... I fired it up and it runs ok - trying to decide whether to get a new firebox - Forest steam are doing them with rivets for 8 quid ish - hardly seems worth bothering trying to clean it up ?

should clean up ok though .....

Once the chrome rusts through you can only clean up and paint. I would (and have) replace the chrome work with new. It will make a huge difference inthe completed restos looks. Good luck with it.

ordered a new cowl off Ebay - Forest steam, with rivets, £8.69 which is cheaper than just the cowl on the proper website ( 8.99 + £3.00 post and no rivets ! )
My first boiler strip .... can't wait - in fact I reckon I'll drill out all the rivets and replace them with brass screws where I can

Size wise, it's basically a roller without the rear wheels, then 8" of flatbed truck, so probably about the 1 1/2 times the length of a roller - I'd take a pic but it's in the garage in bits.

Yes, I did just buy a new firebox casing - see post above.
