I am looking for a cheap boiler for a Jensen 75.
I guess I should have bought johnreid's when I had the chance.

New Boilers are $39.95 they do not come with a Safety Valve or Whistle, but do have the sightglass with new sightglass washers installed.
Unless you are just wanting to replace one that has a but of worn finish, the new boiler is by far the cheapest route. If it is one with worn finish, buy a 75 on Ebay and swap the boilers, then relist the one you bought on Ebay with your old boiler on it and pray that you get what you paid for it. Even if it sells for less, you got a boiler for a reasonable price.

You might work together and buy one on Ebay and split up the cost. Sometimes a 75 comes up for around $75 being as a new boiler is approx $40 and a new cylinder is approx $60, the combined price is less than new parts. Be warned that used parts are just that, used and often show wear.

That looks like it would polish up, there is always risk, just ask me. But that one looks like it is a fairly clean one, I bet it would be fine.

I have enjoyed buying ones in much worse shape, but it takes a lot of time and effort to fix it up.

I bought a really junk 25, took parts from it, bought another and took the cylinder from it, did a swap and resold the cylinder doner on Ebay and really made out like a bandit. My luck doesnt generally run that way.

The only problem with me buying one on ebay is I would want to keep it and run it. I wouldn't want to part it out.

I had my mind made up that I wanted a Minty 25 and hopefully a G, the first engine base was so rusty that I had to paint it and thus it was always bothering me, even after I got it running well.
I bought a 75 to get a new engine and cylinder as I wanted shiny too, and I did not want another Esbit fired engine so the 75 was not hard to part with.
I paid around $70 for the 75, swapped the parts out, took some decent pictures and got something like $120 for it when I resold it! The junk 25 was $22 if I recall right, and one that I was told by several people that it was a lost cause.
Knock on wood, I have been very lucky in buying cheap engines.
