This is a new event to the scene.

It is to be held on The Lavender Line, just outside of Uckfield, East Sussex. You can visit their website here:

http://www.lavender-line.co.uk/

I used to live nearby and it is probably one of the most friendliest railways around

This will be its first year, and I will be going to fly the forum flag, will anyone else consider/be going?

If you want to be with the forum stand, contact me, if not then contact Nick Kelly on 01273 703489.

Like Tilford, you get in free with an engine! As to whether you get free rides on the railway though I do not know...

If it is a success and they do it again next year can you send me details before January 1st and I'll give them a plug in the STIA programme. Won't be able to make it myself this year as we should be drifting down the Thames.

I think we should all get behind as many ventures like this as possible.

It not only promotes our forum but more importantly our hobby.

The more people who are aware, the more popular our hobby will become.

You're doing a great job Si. I wish I were a bit nearer so I could participate. The distance kills me though.

Keep up the good work.

The Thames Traditional Boat Rally beckons. Mind you, last year we went for a couple of days and stayed in Henley nearly three weeks. Even when they re-opened the locks the river was still moving pretty fast. You can't trust the weather these days. It's just like it was when I was a lad

Unfortunately myself, Paul, Mike & Andy are unable to make this event.

I hope to go next year however.
