just recieved my te1a today just wonering if anyone can tell me how the hubs come off also to strip this down do i have to remove the rivets?

You pull them off, quite tricky. I'd say they break once in about 5

Flywheel should be a tight fit or screwed. You can unscrew the front wheels be turning them... that's about as far as you can go

is that the only way?
and are they easy to replace?
would it work if i masked off the area and painted it black?

Yes, yes and probably another yes  

I wouldn't drill the rivets though, not worth it

fired it and runs very wel except has a leak from the pipe that is joined to the boiler
