where to start???? this is where clinton and graham have been steaming up
the shed
the enterance
our display table near the enterance
view from the table towards the big flywheel
sundry views of displays inside the shed by no means complete.

outside but housed in the shed(in steam for today!)
clinton and grahram, liz and myself and others are members of the shed. clinton and and graham know more about the displays than i do.

| yes james someone was trying to export them back to england and customs got wind of it. its illegal. they are protected by heritage law or these were anyway. of interest one of these engines was specially designed to pull stumps out of the ground!! then the ground was to be steamed ploughed! this was back in 1912 or so the article read.ill know more as time goes by. |

i was given a quick glimpse of the official paperwork (with the qld govt official seal) attached was a photocopy of the article. these engines are still crated but i believe they are to be unpacked by next months steamup.apparently officials from the dorest steam fair came over to australia to help with the paper work. its hoped that the qld govt will help with restoration costs.its all very exciting and i believe the project will put our shed on the world map!also i was told the shed has very strong ties with the dorest steam fair, with some top members of the shed on personal speaking terms with micheal oliver! for my efforts yesterday i was allowed to purchase a great dorset steamfair official catalogue! these are sent to shed apparently for display. |
