Got my set, and found it is 99.9% complete.....the chain has been broken at sometime and I only have about 3 inches. Most pieces have never been used and the metal clips are still there from new. The twine is still hanked. As the signature piece I had to build the steam shovel ..still not finished, especially as I am building it from various photos and scans I can find on the web. I decided to make it manually (or steam) operated and use the wonderful motor with a gearbox on something else with the huge amount of parts left over. Still researching the voltage before I connect it up, seems like various advice around, but suspect around 4V.

Will post more when i get a bit further with it !!

Nice looking set and your right you have to build the steam shovel first.

Wow   That's fantastic. I like that very much. There is a lot of work gone into that.
