Well, after paying taxes, the illusion of being able to afford having a thing like this engine sitting in my garage has abruptly come to an end.
Here she is:

Lets hope she finds a good home....
Best wishes,
Peter

That Tax Man should be punished, anyone got a rope?
I hope that you get a good return on your investment, it is a shame that you need to part with it though. _________________ Your life is an occasion...Rise to it |

It does make me sad as I really like the engine, but had a reality check recently and that is the way things are.
simply put: It is a luxury item that I cant afford. No different than an expensive watch that i would not even consider buying.
I have a D24 that I like and she will drive my steppers just right, and will be happy to take the place of this engine in my little experiments and demonstrations.
Whoever gets it will find a great engine. Quite rare because of its age. You see d32's on EBAY, but I have seen none this old yet...
Thanks for the support and happy bidding! |

have not bothered even checking considering how expesive shipping my generators turns out to be to any country around the world.
I can check for you and charge only actual shipping, but remember she does run on 110 volts. |

... I understand, Peter. A few years back, I had to part with my O-Gauge tin trains: Märklin, Bing ... broke my heart. But money was dear, so the trains had to go.
Oh, well. You've got the D24 still! So've I - an electric one. Darn good machine, mate!
Good luck for your auction, and may she go away with a BANG! , meaning a good farewell in cash for you. _________________ Says Tom

Thanks everyone...
if any of you visits the youtube video for this engine, I would appreciate some positive comments regarding your opinion about this engine or your dealings with me in the past.
i think this will help buyers get an additional sense of confidence when bidding on such a potentially expensive item...
