Here ya go les - the oiler is 26X12 mm including the cap, which is a simple hex head screw. See pics:

wow how did I not spot this sooner?
Its wonderful Moosey! Really interesting, never seen one of these before.
I think though that you really should have that steam valve engraved

Thanks mate! Les' example is in much better shape than mine, but yes, it's a great little engine.....very solid, goes like a bomb. I can't quite work out what the handwheel is made of, but I think it's wood! _________________ Stands the glass half empty,

Mine was as bad as yours when I got it, it would not run at all, so it was stripped within 20 mins of me getting it, cleaned and painted and a hell of a long time fiddling with it to get it to run.
I have looked at the handwheel and it looks as is made from the same sort of stuff early circuits boards were made from.  _________________ Les - Old age isn't so bad when you consider the alternatives.
